How this site makes money
- Editorial profiles are free. Every ranked company gets one. Inclusion and position come from the published methodology, and companies don’t pay to appear.
- Enhanced profiles (paid). A company can pay to add photos, expanded service detail, and direct links to its own profile page. Labeled “Enhanced profile.” Rank effect: none.
- Sponsored placements (paid). Clearly marked promotional slots that sit outside the editorial order — visually distinct, labeled “Sponsored.” Rank effect: none.
- Lead, call, or referral fees. Not currently operating. If introduced, this page and the pages where they operate will say so explicitly.
The line that doesn’t move
Payment never changes editorial rank, never buys entry to the ranked list, never softens a documented limitation, and never appears without a label. If paid placement ever affects the order of anything, the label sits next to the list itself.
